Update from Administrator – August 18, 2021

Good evening,

Today, during our weekly COVID testing, we detected 2 positive residents. All residents were tested today and the responsible parties of the residents who tested positive have been notified. As a result of this, the Star and Sherwood units must be on quarantine for 14 days and will not have indoor visitation except for compassion care and hospice visits.  Whispering Pines remains on quarantine from the positive case detected last Wednesday.  We are asking families to allow the facility to complete staff testing overnight and through tomorrow before visiting the open units.  Due to the layout of the facility, it is very difficult to visit the Brookview North and South units without walking through the Star, Sherwood or Pines units.  If you would like to visit a loved one on Brookview North or South, please call the front desk prior to the visit, so staff can escort you through the gated courtyard and into the side door.  All visitors must first report to the receptionist to sign in and be screened and have a temperature taken.  In addition, all visitors must wear a mask while visiting regardless of vaccination status.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
