Good afternoon,
I am writing to notify you that we had several residents test positive for COVID-19 over the weekend and this morning. These new Covid-19 cases are contained to the Whispering Pines unit only at this time, and the residents and staff who were exposed on this unit will continue to be monitored and tested.
We will continue to follow CDC and DPH guidance.
CT’s Rolling COVID-19 positivity rate increased to 8.09%.
At this time, the facility remains open for visitation. For the safety of the residents, we encourage you not to visit if you have been exposed or are not feeling well. Please note, if you are visiting a resident on the Whispering Pines unit: first check in with the front desk receptionist, review and sign our Covid-19 waiver form, then enter the unit through our back entrance. PPE will be provided to you for your safety.
Please also continue to keep an eye out for the mailing to all resident’s representatives for the second booster, as all residents are eligible to receive them. This was mailed out last week, and we hope to get them returned as soon as possible.
