Update from Administrator – September 9, 2021
Good afternoon! I have a couple exciting bits of information to share with you and felt an email would be the best way to communicate.
- We completed our weekly testing today and have NO new cases of COVID-19 at this time. The Sherwood unit has now gone 14 days with no new cases so they will be open to visitors and will come off quarantine at this time. All units with the exception of the Whispering Pines unit will be fully open. We continue to encourage outdoor visitation whenever possible; however, can accommodate window visits, zoom visits and indoor visitation as well. Please remember, ALL visitors must wear masks at all times during visits.
- The facility maintenance men will be working on the resident phone lines on Monday morning, Sept 13, 2021. There have been many issues lately with resident phone lines not working and this should fix those issues. This project will start at approximately 5am and is estimated to take about 3 hours. It is possible that your loved one will have a new phone number and I will provide those phone numbers in an email on Monday. If you are worried about your family member and need to get in touch with them during this time, please ask the receptionist to connect you to the floor nurse and they can use the cordless phone to connect you.
- We will now be utilizing a supervisor cell phone to enhance family communication with the nursing staff. If you are trying to speak to your loved one’s nurse and are having a hard time getting through, you can contact the supervisor at a direct line at 860-385-0252.
Thank you and stay safe!
