Update from Administrator – April 20, 2022

Good afternoon,

I am writing to notify you that we had a second staff member and another resident on Whispering Pines test positive for COVID-19.

We did contact tracing and tested the individuals (residents and staff) that had close contact with this employee, and who might have been exposed, and all were negative.  We also tested all of the other resident’s again today on Whispering Pines would were negative.  We will test these individuals again on Monday.

We are in the process of putting together a mailing to all resident’s representatives for the second booster, as all residents are eligible to receive the second booster.  Please be on the lookout in the next week for these forms and return them to the facility at your earliest convenience.

We will continue to follow CDC and DPH guidance.

CT’s Rolling COVID-19 positivity rate increases to 7.35%.

The facility remains open for visitation. For the safety of the residents please do not visit if you have been exposed or are not feeling well.
