Update from Administrator – April 20, 2022

Good afternoon,  I am writing to notify you that a new resident that was admitted over the weekend to Whispering Pines tested positive for COVIDD-19.  Additional we had a staff member who was on vacation last week also test positive for COVID-19 prior to returning from vacation.

We are contact tracing and tested the individuals that had close contact with this resident, which included all residents on Whispering Pines and staff who might have been exposed, and happy to report that all were negative.

We will continue to follow CDC and DPH guidance.  CT State positivity rate has been steadily increase in the last week with a current of 6.51%

The facility remains open for visitation. For the safety of the residents please do not visit if you have been exposed or are not feeling well.

We appreciate your patience and understanding at this time.
