Update from Administrator – December 2, 2021

Dear Families,

Hello, I wanted to introduce myself, Lizbeth Carmichael, I am the new administrator at Sheriden Woods.  Some of you will remember me as I worked here previously, it was wonderful to see so many familiar faces.

Yesterday was my first day and unfortunately we identified 3 new  COVID-19 positive cases on our Whispering Pines unit, which were identified during routine screening.

This does not change visitation for our residents, everyone can have visitors even residents on Whispering Pines.

During this time outbreak time, visitors on Whispering Pines will be given a waiver to notify them that we positive COVID-19 cases and the unit, visitors should proceed directly to the residents room, utilize PPE that is provided, and to keep PPE on for the duration of the visit in the room.  If you have any questions during your visit please ask to speak with the RN Supervisor (during the day time DNS, ADNS, ICN or Administrator).

On a different note we had our annual state survey (first one since July 2019), which was very good, and we are waiting to receive our results.

I will share the outcome as soon as receive them.
